This morning, I woke up With the plan of making pancake, heading straight to the kitchen, I grabbed my bowl, picked the eggs from the fridge and started breaking the eggs one after the other, first, second, third and fourth but low and behold the fourth egg was bad and was already mixed with the good eggs and had already spoilt the good ones. All my effort to Separate the good from the bad was in vain as all the Eggs were already smelling.
I went to throw out the Eggs with a heavy heart because they were the last eyes I had in the house. Suddenly I heard a voice saying: “if only you had taken time to break the eggs in individual bowls, you would avoided this because you would have had time to observe each of them”
hmm mm shaking my head came the three great Lessons.
Lessons one: Excellence should be our watch word. A tiny and insignificant detail can mess up our lives if we do not pay attention to the tiny details.. Remember what is worth doing is worth doing well.
Lessons two: just as it is with selection of friends, you could have 10 good friends just as my three good eggs but one bad friend is enough to cause a life time of pain. This could affect you as an individual or your other friends as well, so take your time and be careful in selecting your friends. Smiling and thinking of how true this could be another reality hit me which led to my third lesson.
Lesson three :How about having lots of good attitude and one bad one? It doesn’t matter how good you are one bad attitude will surly destroy your whole reputation, no wonder the saying ” it takes Grace to lift a man to a greater height but it takes character to keep him and sustain him there, every great man is a man of character”. It’s always good to examine our character to avoid one bad egg.
